But even before the first takeoff there is a lot of work to be done. It is necessary to carry out comprehensive checks of the operation of the electric motor on a motor mount specially created for it in all operating modes and determine its effect on the aircraft equipment.

High-temperature superconductivity allows you to achieve close to zero resistance in the windings of an electric motor at relatively high temperatures, although these temperatures still remain very, very low — down to -200 ° C. Low resistance to current means high efficiency and low battery consumption, which is critical for electric aircraft.

The developers of the Russian superconducting engine claim that in the future, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 75%. This is the future of aviation and it is gradually approaching.
