Mesh shaders can process small sections of mesh in parallel with much more flexibility and control. Also, the technology significantly improves the efficiency of cutting off invisible parts of the mesh.
3DMark Mesh Shader Functional Test Shows How Game Engines Can Improve Performance By Using Mesh Shaders To Effectively Clipping Geometry That Is Not Visible In Frame.
